VCF LOGO COMPETITION

Help Us Choose our New Logo ... Designed by YOU!!

You've probably seen that green "VCF Logo" on many of our webpages and our tournaments. Well, we think it's time for a new logo!!

Don't you?

If you are a student in grades K-12 or attending College in Virginia as an Undergraduate, you are eligible to submit a design and compete to have your design become our next logo!

Here are the rules ...

1) ONE ENTRY PER PERSON. You must be a member of the Virginia Chess Federation.

Not sure if you are a member. Select the "Check my VCF Membership" button below, then join or renew your membership if you are not a VCF member and want to submit a Logo Design!!

2) The design must be yours, not Mom's, Dad's, Grandpa's, your non-VCF member art student friend, etc. We don't care if you use AI, but you should be the person using the AI to create the image.

3) The logo must be in color and have a "chess" theme. But be careful, your logo must be one that can be easily printed on shirts, hoodies and caps ... the more fancy your colors get, the more difficult it can be. You also must submit a black-and-white version of your logo.

4) Your logo must include the words "Virginia Chess Federation." You can add "VCF"  if you want (this is optional).

5) The Virginia Chess Federation was established in 1934, that also needs to be on the logo. In our current logo, "Est. 1934" appears below the words Virginia Chess Federation.

6) If you use a "state" background or outline, be sure it includes the Eastern Shore!!

7) ENTRY DEADLINE. All entries must be received by midnight on November 30, 2026.

8) The Winning Design gets: A two Year VCF membership (an extension of your current membership for 2 years) plus FREE ENTRY to the 2027 VA Scholastic & College Championships or a VCF Tournament of Your Choice such as the Virginia Open in January or the Virginia Closed next September!!
