  • OVERVIEW of the Team Room Situation:

    • There are six dedicated Team Rooms for this tournament.  These will be available to the larger teams, or teams who decide to combine to get a Team Room.  We fully expect that most teams will use their HOTEL ROOMS as their team rooms.

    • In the diagram below, the 6 available Team Rooms are on the right side of the picture ... Salons K, L, M, N, O and P.  All team rooms are very close to the playing area, so the diagram is not "to scale" in that regard.  Salon "L" is a larger room, suitable for as many as 40 players, the other rooms are suitable for up to 20 players.  There is a "possibility" the Hotel may convert as many as 4 hotel rooms into Team Rooms, but we won't know this until the tournament date gets closer (probably not until late February).

Tournament Games are played in the two Ballrooms (Grand & Executive).  Team Rooms are on the right-side of this diagram.
Shenandoah will be a Skittles area.

  • Team Room Costs:  Team Rooms K, M, N, O and P cost $100/day plus 6% tax.  Team Room L costs $200/day plus 6% tax.  Team Rooms are may not available before SATURDAY morning, we are checking with the Hotel.

  • How to Reserve a Team Room:  A team (or combination of teams) must have at least 12 players to qualify for a Team Room.  At least 30 players are necessary to reserve Team Room L.  Mike Hoffpauir will assign Team Rooms on a first-come, first served basis ... and Mike will inform the hotel which teams get what rooms.

    • Step 1:  Send an email to Mike Hoffpauir (mhoffpauir@aol.com) with the information below.

      • School Name

      • Point of Contact (POC) Name

      • POC Phone Number and Email

      • Number of PLAYERS

    • Step 2:  Await instructions from Mike Hoffpauir on making your payment.  Teams will pay the hotel directly, do not mail any payments to us.  Teams who combine to purchase a room must have only one point of contact to pay for their room with the hotel ... The hotel will not accept payments from multiple teams for the same room.

    • Step 3:  When you arrive at the Hotel, there will be one or two room keys issued to the Adult persons whom the team says is their primary points of contact.

  • FOOD OPTIONS:

    • Hotel Restaurant:  The Hotel has a restaurant.  Breakfast opens at 6:30 AM on Saturday and Sunday.  For Lunch, a walk-through Buffet will be available starting at 11AM on Saturday and Sunday.

    • Room Service:  The Hotel has Room Service, but you should expect this to be slow because the hotel will be very full.

    • Skittles Room:  There will be snacks sold in the Skittles Room (The Shenandoah Room) by the hotel.

    • Food in Team Rooms:  Teams may bring their own food, or order Pizza (etc.) for their Team Rooms.  However, Teams MAY NOT have a caterer bring food to their team room.  This is strictly forbidden by the hotel.
